Since February 2010, Writer’s Side has been representing a select list of highly talented authors from India and abroad.
The representation does not carry any hidden costs, and we don’t charge a fee for reading but may recommend the authors to avail our editing and critiquing service if their work is rejected. In such cases, we don’t represent them.
We sign a standard, uncomplicated agent-author agreement and our fee is a 20% commission on advances ( if any) and sales. There are no other costs involved with agenting.
We decline more than 95% of submissions we receive and stress on strong prose and exceptional storytelling skills in fiction, and socially relevant or controversial themes in non-fiction. Unlike other agencies we usually tell authors quickly whether we want to be their agent or not.
